Harry Potter Mania

As Harry Potter Mania is almost upon us, millions of copies will soon be arriving in homes and be read eagerly cover to cover. Within just a few days the majority will end up on bookshelves gathering dust, never to be re-opened.

But as we know, books are made to be read and passed on, so to help the environment, we’re urging all Harry Potter fans to either wait a few days to buy a second hand copy, or if you simply can’t wait to find out what happens in the final instalment and want to buy a new copy, then make sure you list it for sale and sell it on once you’re finished.

Website Update

Perhaps with a little less hype than Harry Potter, we’re pleased to announce the introduction of ‘SecureCode’ and ‘Verified by Visa’ for all on-line card transactions. This is a new industry-wide initiative by Visa and Mastercard to protect customers when buying on-line. Registered members create a password, which must then be used for all online purchases - similar to that of chip and pin for offline transactions.

Although 'SecureCode' and 'Verified by Visa' do not become mandatory until the end of the year, we've already introduced this facility to our website to ensure we're offering our members the highest level of security available.

Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell
By: Susanna Clarke

More Information

Full of battling magicians, statues that talk, haunted ballrooms and sinister gentlemen with thistledown hair – no, this isn’t the latest Harry Potter, but something far more strange and sinister. Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell is an elegant and historical novel, more akin to Charles Dickens than JK Rowling. A magical book, definitely for the grown-ups! And for all Harry Potter fans, don’t forget to add the latest title to your Wish List.
