		        <description>A lot of reviews rave about it&amp;#39;s &amp;#34;poetic&amp;#34; language, and it is beautiful, carefully crafted prose but I couldn&amp;#39;t engage with the protagonist, and to me that&amp;#39;s an important part of the enjoyment of a novel.

Of course, it was almost certainly intentional, as he is not intended to be a reliable narrator, but there are some unreliable narrators - step forward Moll Flanders as an example - who you can get to know, love and root for!</description>
