I heard about this official sequel recently & just checked it out on amazon. It gets scathing reviews. Is it really that bad?

Oh dear- I've got it in my to read pile- it was in The Works for 3 for £5.00 though so I've only spent £1.67 of so on it if it is terrible, I think it would be difficult to follow on from Bram Stoker.

I read this a couple of years ago and I was not impressed. For me it was more about Dacre cashing in on his family history and not any actual writing ability and he actually changes the timings of the original story so it fits with what he wants. Personally it is worth a read in a sense but be warned it is not that good at all.
