#1 Posted 05/12/2008 10:37

Just thought I would list a selection of Vegetarian titles that I have for sale, as they do not always have the word in the title, so here goes.

No Meat For Me Please (Jan Arkless)
Not Just A Load Of Old Lentils (Rose Elliot)
A Vegetarian In The Family (Janet Hunt)
Thrifty Fifty (Rose Elliot)
Vegetarian Cuisine (Isabel James Wilson)
Vegetarian Cookery (Janet Walker)
Deliciously Different (Rosamond Richardson)
Cooking WithNuts And Cereals (Judy Ridgway)
The Vegetarian Gourmet (Rosamond Richardson)
Cooking With Vegetables (Marika Hanbury Tenison)

As I said just a selection, to get you started!

Hi WendyHouse. Yes I think the reason 'Veggies' are growing are health wise not necessarily ethically. I have been a veggie for over 20 years I don't like the idea of animals being killed just to feed me and I can't say I really used to enjoy eating meat anyway. Whereas my daughter does a lot of 'veggie' cooking for her family because she thinks it is healthier, but does eat meat occassionally.:)

I have a few exclusively vegetable. Perhaps I should list some larger books but the postage is prohibitive.

I can't start looking or I will buying lots! We are veggie too in my case 28 years since I was 8 and partner 24 years so its all we know!
I LOVE cooking but make my own recipes but trying to get partner to cook so have been buying recipe books gradually.

I like Linda McCartney's books.

Other than that, I have only read The Vegetarian Option by Simon Hopkinson which was abominable...he even suggested using chicken stock for one recipe. Since when was that a vegetarian option?!

I have listed nearly 200 I thought by dedicating it exclusively yo food drink and diet it would make the list of interest but I guess the world is awash with cook books. I am selling at the rate of ten a year, which is far fromn speedy
