Orange Prize

Our borough had an Orange Shortlist event, where each reading group was allocated a shortlisted title, then we met up (before the result) to critique them. The 'winner' from our vote was 'Scotsboro' - but I'm really glad Marilynne Robinson won the real thing with 'Home'. I'd never heard of her before - can't believe she'd passed me by. I'm now looking forward to reading 'Housekeeping.' I loved 'Scotsboro' & 'Burnt Shadows' was a revelation - I liked 'Salt & Saffron by Shamsie - but this was just so mature & ambitious - loved it!! What were other people's faves?
