Molly Fox's Birthday by Deirdre Madden

Molly Fox's Birthday This book was one of the Orange prize nominees last year. It was controversial in our book group when we read it, half loved it, half hated it! Set in Ireland, in one house, with only the voice of one woman, it is a lovely novel, unravelling the life of Molly Fox through the eyes of her friend in a lovely, lilting kind of way. I really enjoyed it. |

Hahaha tell me about it! I've never been part of a reading group - part of me would LOVE to join one...part would hate to be 'forced' to read set titles...hmmmm |

Yes will try the RSPCA if I see him again. Re reading groups I know what you mean but it can be good to be forced to read genres that you wouldn't normally bother with, I have discovered some authors that I would not have tried if I hadn't been made too. |
