Back to School!

Sadly all good things must come to an end – as every young person knows, it's the end of the summer holidays. For those of you getting ready to go back to school, why not think of making it a green journey? The Walk to School campaign for October 2007 is focusing on young people enjoying their local environment by walking to school, to increase physical activity and decrease urban congestion and air pollution.

Website Update

Following feedback from our members we're pleased to announce a few changes to our 'Books for sale' listings.

We've changed our 'standard paperback' category so that more books are now eligible for a postage payment – this means books which have 500 pages or more, will now have the option of adding a postage payment, to help cover the costs in posting thicker, heavier books. But to ensure sellers remain competitive and to only add postage when needed, we're also changing our 'book queue' system to giving more choice to buyers! So that if there's more than one copy of a book, buyers can now 'View more copies', enabling them to make their selection from all the copies listed, where the condition or price differ.

We hope by giving more choice to buyers and sellers, more books will be listed for sale, and more books purchased and recycled!
